TAKOMA PARK GIRLS FASTPITCH SOFTBALL

A tournament program of Takoma Park Babe Ruth Softball

Takoma Fire Softball is a competitive girls fastpitch softball program dedicated to providing girls age 8 and up an intensive, meaningful, and most of all fun softball experience, by developing and using softball skills. We emphasize high level skills development. 

We participate in regional softball tournaments in Spring and Summer and local leagues in the Fall. Takoma Fire also holds winter indoor programs and clinics.

Our volunteers and organizers are passionate softball/baseball enthusiasts; we try to instill that passion in the girls. Though we play competitive softball, we measure success not by wins and losses, but by:

• how much the girls develop and improve their skills,

• how hard and enthusiastically they play,

• how much they enjoy the experience, and

• how softball enriches their lives and helps build character.

Most of the younger girls in the Takoma Fire program also play in the Takoma Park Babe Ruth Softball league, while many of the girls on the U14 and U16 teams play on high school varsity and JV teams as well. The T. Fire girls all want to take their play up to the next level!
